Luxury log cabins are plentiful in Gatlinburg, Tennessee - but the question is: how do I choose the best on?  That answer to that question is not as easy as you might think!  If there were only a few cabins of high caliber than finding one that meets your needs would be simple enough, simply pick the best available from the handful that exist.  Unfortunately, there are tons of luxury log cabins in Galtinburg and this can make finding the right one difficult for anyone.

Most people looking at this picture would very quickly press the back button on their browser and find another cabin provider.  This cabin does not exude the comfort that most people looking for a “luxury” cabin would want to have.  The roofing is clearly in disrepair, the walls have some serious gaps in them, and there appears to be zero privacy.  If you wanted to rough it, then this could be the accommodations for you - but this is not going to be a picture that draws very many (if any) people to stay here.

On the other hand, consider this picture:

The differences between this cabin and the first cabin is dramatic.  Where the first was run down and dilapidated, this one is sophisticated and well kept.  The first had obvious and serious flaws, this one appears pristine and without blemish.  If I were picking my Gatlinburg cabin rental purely on these pictures it would be a no brainer: go with the second log cabin!

But it is important to remember that just because the outside of something looks stunning does mean that the inside is anything to write home about.  For sure the outside of the cabin matters in helping you judge the overall quality of the cabin as well as the caliber of the cabin rental agency, but you aren’t going to be sleeping and spending your days in the outside of the cabin.  The inside is certainly what matters most. There is simply not substitute for getting quality Gatlinburg information making this type of decision.

Again, pictures are the best source of this information and are very important in determining which cabin you want to go with.  Almost every cabin listing I have ever seen for a Gatlinburg cabin rental has the amenities available in that particular cabin.  While this is extremely important in informing you of the basic things int he cabin, how these things are laid out is equally important.  Here pictures rule.

Here is a list of questions that you can ask yourself as you look through some of the interior picture found of the cabin rental websites:

  • Is the color scheme something that will enjoy spending two, three, or four nights looking at?
  • Are the decorations something that adds to the decour of the cabin or does it distract you?
  • If the cabin has couches, do they look comfortable?  Could they be used for additional sleeping space if needed?  Could you see yourself spending some time relaxing on them?
  • What about the beds?  Are the beds well placed in the rooms so as to maximize space and give you the room you need for you bags and other personal items?  Are the easily accessed during the evening or with minimal lighting?
  • Do the bathrooms seem big enough or elegant enough to meet your desire for a luxry log cabin?
  • Is the jacuzzi conveniently located, offering you privacy and easy access during both the warm summer or the cool winter days?
  • Is the game room cluttered or is there plenty of space to use the pool table, play ping pong, get an air hockey game going, and play some cards at the same time (this is for a big party Gatlinburg cabin rental!)?
  • Is the kitchen sufficient for the needs of your stay?
  • Are a washer and dryer available to meet your laundering needs?
  • Is the TV well positioned and what is the chances of the receiver getting a signal (when my family recently stayed in a cabin rental our satellite TV was out for the duration of our trip :) )?

All these questions could be important as you browse which of the many luxury log cabin of Gatlinburg will best meet your needs.  Just remember that everyone is not the same and some things that your friend recommend might not be the best for you and your situation.  Take your time and be patient as you search for the right luxury log cabin in Gatlinburg for you.
